Heavy Legs? Keep Walking on Your Own.
Walk Assist

What it is
A light, mechanical lift for your leg. The patented Momentum Strap runs from a waist belt to a knee holder and helps your leg come up on every step, so walking takes less out of you and your foot clears the ground. No motor, no battery, no charging. About 0.5 lb and worn under your clothes. Built by an engineer for his wife's mom.
Newly approved for Walk Assist.

Got an HSA or FSA through your job or health plan? Walk Assist is covered by it. Use those pre-tax dollars toward walking on your own.
What it does
- Lighter legs. Every step takes less effort.
- No more dragging feet. Your foot clears the ground.
- Help when you need it. Turn it up on hard days, down on good ones (11 to 44 lb per leg).
- Sit or drive in it. Release it, then tighten it when you stand up.
- Discreet look. Nobody has to know.
Lighter legs start at the hip

Your knee isn't what lifts your leg. The hip flexor does. When it gets tired, every step gets heavier. Walk Assist gives it help right where the lift happens.
The Momentum Strap helps lift your leg on every step, so each one takes less effort.
Your foot clears the ground instead of dragging. Fuller steps, less shuffle.
Support on the lift is the part that matters most on a step up.
Help on every lift, so the store or the walk around the block takes less out of you.
Your errands, your plans, your own legs. You're still the one doing the walking.
Low profile, worn under your clothes. About 0.5 lb, so you forget it's there.
Walk Assist is a mechanical walking aid. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, or to replace medical care.

Reviews

I wasn't ready for a big mobility device. My daughter showed me this, and I barely feel it on my leg. I put it on and can just get on with my day.

I wanted support without something bulky or electric. This is the kind of simple setup I was looking for.

My legs were getting tired so quickly. With Walk Assist, I could feel the support when I lifted my leg. Now I feel like I can keep going.

I still do the walking myself, but the added support gives me more confidence.

No charging and no complicated setup beyond adjusting it. Once I'm moving, it feels natural.

I liked that it uses simple mechanics instead of electronics. It fits into everyday life better than I expected.
